The “Strand Horst” leisure area, wedged between Harderwijk and Ermelo, is one of the best surfing locations of the Netherlands. Surfers can be found here most of the year. It is, therefore, ideal for surfing fun. You can, of course, also swim or sunbathe beautifully at Strand Horst at one of the many beaches. The area offers plenty of possibilities to chill out or to spend an active holiday. You can visit on a daily basis free of charge between sunrise and sunset. There are many facilities at Strand Horst such as kiosks, toilets and showers, a volleyball field, a boat slipway and a bicycle/foot passenger ferry to Zeewolde At “Telstar Surf Testcenter”, take the North Horst (Horst-Noord) exit at the “De Staart” kiosk, you can have surfing lessons and rent and test the newest surfboards.
